To me, Brett Favre has always been one of the most OVERRATED QB's in the NFL. He needs to stop his whining and realize, at 38, the Packers just want him to go away. The national media (cough, cough, Peter King/John Madden) have lionized Favre. I'm not even sure why the Jets, or any other team would want him now anyway. The guy had two horrible seasons prior to last year. Moving to a new team, with a crappy attitude and an aging body, do we really think he's going to play well? Including last year's good season, he's thrown 62 interceptions in the last three years! Stop the media love affair! Amen! No, I doubt NPR would dare to cover such a topic. However the national outlets and even the local TV outlets (reporting on the reports from the national outlets) ran with Favre Watch 2008. SNF even had cameras at Packers practice this past Sunday and forced me to spy on Favre's wife in the lux box while they apologized for not being able to locate his exact whereabouts. Granted, that's in football context, but you get the degree of the insanity here. Is this a good time to admit that my commute time is spent exclusively with KNBR 680?
