Turning in my Man Card
I admit it. I have not lived up to the standards set forth by my forefathers and male role models. For this egregious infraction I will, temporarily, turn in my man card.
What was my infraction, you say? I chose to watch So You Think You Can Dance [and I thoroughly enjoyed it] when I could have been watching game 1 of the NBA Finals.
What does this mean? For someone who prides himself on his sports knowledge and sense of sports history, this is a foul of epic proportions. This from the guy who went two years without missing a Pardon the Interruption? I hang my head in shame.
So, for the time being, if you pass me in the hallway or see me sitting at my desk, know that I am no longer worthy of my man card. I have turned it in. Only through hard work, perseverance and hours of Clint Eastwood-led rehabilitation can I get it back.
Now when is SYTYCD on next? I need to practice my moves.

WOW! I am a little shocked there Brad! Especially because I even watched the first NBA FINAL game! And just FYI, I am an avid SYTYCD watcher! It is usually on for 2 hours during all the auditions and Vegas week, so even though I watched the game, (Which was very saddening, I might add) I got to catch the whole last hour of SYTYCD!
“Multi-Show Surfing” is what I like to call it. lol.
You should try it next time. Maybe then you might just be able to hold onto that man card of yours!

SYTYCD will air Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout the summer. I believe start time is 8 or 9. Check our local Sacramento listings. And then we can talk about who gets sent home in our Fun Friday meeting every Friday!!
Also, Brad, perhaps the fact that you didn’t watch Game 1 simply proves what an awesome Kings’ fan you are. You hate the Lakers SO much, that you boycotted the NBA Finals. And perhaps the fact that you chose SYTYCD further proves your hatred of the Lakers. What a slap in Kobe’s face that a sports fan chose a dance competition show over his game. He can consider it payback for the time Doug Christie’s face fouled his elbow. How does the recipient (Doug) of an elbow (Kobe’s) to the face get charged with the penalty? I still can’t figure that one out.

Truly a disgrace. It’s bad enough we only have 4 men in this office, now we have one who cares more about technical scores than technical fouls. At least I never admitted my Rock of Love addiction. These things need to be repressed until all that remains is anger, then you will know what it’s like to be a man.
