The White Board that is no more…

This week’s White Board question was asked partially in Spanish. We’re calling it our “Latin Version.” You know, for a group of people who live and breathe strategy, we can’t seem to stay on topic. Some of us answered the question, but most of us went off on tangents.

This is the usually the part of the blog post where I upload the White Board photo, however tragically, due to an overzealous co-worker (who shall remain nameless), I regret to inform you that this week’s White Board no longer exists. I guess that’s the trouble with the convenience of dry erase boards. We were going to start transcribing the White Boards for ease of reading anyway, so might as well start today! Please click through for this week’s “Would you Rather,” the Latin Version…

Please note that all the actual answers to the question are in bold. Comment trails (that’s PR for “tangents!”) for the answers follow in italics and are in parentheses (these are parentheses).

Would you Rather (Latin Version): ?Que Prefieres? Wear a lucha libre mascara for life or have a donkey be your lone mode of transportation?

Go green, ride a donkey!

I think I might go with both on this one, and I would call myself, “El Burro”

(El Burro is Spanish for “The Burro”)

La lucha libre mascara para mi por favor, pero mas bonito que el phantom de la opera.

(Show off!)

Pregunta: ?Tiene el burro GPS?

El burro, claro! Just call me Sancho Panza

(Bonus points if you get that reference)

(It’s from Don Quixote, Sancho Panza was his squire)

I learned French in high school so I have no clue what you guys are talking about.

Now, my spanish is a little rusty (and that is PROBABLY because i never learned it, just picked a little bit up here and there from ex-girlfriends families) but i think i am going to take a stab at translating and you spanish speakers out there can tell me if i have it right or not.

the first one loosely translates to: I will take the luchador mask please, but a prettier one than the phantom of the opera.

the second says: Question: does the donkey have GPS?

and the third (which is only half spanish) says: The donkey of course! Just call me Sancho Panza

Hey the “show off” spanish comment was from me. I took spanish from 3rd grade all the way through most of college. However, I still have no clue what they’re saying on Telemundo. But I can translate any irregular verb you want.
