Possible interview questions…
I don’t know how many of you listen to NPR but I do on my way both to and from work, it is a nice break from the over-stimulation I get everywhere else…but I digress.
What I wanted to bring to everyone’s attention is a feature they had today on strange interview questions and how they are becoming more and more prevalent in interviews these days. Someone called in and said they were in charge of hiring at their business and they always ask “which superhero would you be and WHY?”
My response was immediate, I have known which superhero I would be since my youthful eyes first fell upon the pages of his AMAZING adventures. If you are unaware of my superhero of choice you can see who I am talking about here. But I was interested in the rest of the office and who they would be and why….
Have at it!

Batman. Oh, I’m sorry. Was that too obvious.

Yes, but WHY?????? Why would you be Batman?

I don’t understand who your guy is supposed to be, Robert?
On a side note, I would be Keystone Light Man. Master of refreshment and purveyor of savings.

Ok, so….the guy up there is not a real superhero. it was just an image i created from a scan of a comic book and i removed all color from the super hero’s face and put a question mark on him, kind of like a “who would your super hero be?” type of thing, cause i didn’t want to influence anyone and lets be honest, the post is gonna get more attention if there are pretty pictures.

Is that another costume in Matt’s dress-up box? Perhaps he’ll look like this guy:

Sorry, Rob. I feel like I’ve done your post a disservice. I would be Batman BECAUSE Batman is tots AWESOME! He’s a real guy who bruises and bleeds like the rest of us. He’s willing to sacrifice himself so others don’t suffer the same pain he experienced when he was young. I mean, c’mon! Plus he has the coolest arsenal of equipment. You can’t deny that.

Jana, I won’t deny Batman’s awesomeness, nor the coolness of his arsenal of gadgets. I am going to call shenanigans on your use of “tots” i feel that that word while fitting to describe something like Hanna Montanna’s hairstyle or Paris Hilton’s bedazzled chihuahua. Using it to describe Batman’s awesomeness makes the CAPED CRUSADER seem like a 7th grade girl the firs time she gets to wear makeup.

I know I’m a girl and Batman is a boy, and the closest I’d ever come to being Batman is being Batgirl (though I am not Barbara Gordon, so that would be up for serious debate). So, why should I have to sacrifice my personality just to be in line with Batman’s persona when I’m commenting on a blog about him? You say “totally,” I say “tots.” NBD.

ok, deal.
side note: Barbara Gordon got paralyzed and became known as “The Oracle”. True story.
August 6th, 2008 at 2:59 pm
And by “true story,” you mean, true in the realm of comic books. Not that you actually believe it is a true story. Right?
August 6th, 2008 at 3:04 pm
no i dont believe its a true story, i meant that it actually happened IN THE COMIC BOOK. thanks for the clarification. i wouldn’t want people to think that i cant tell the difference between the real world and the comic book world.

I would want to be Kazaam because who doesn’t love a “rappin’ genie with an attitude…who is ready for some slam-dunk fun?”
