Eldorado Stone's Head-Turning Take on Weathered Wood

We’re raising a round of applause for the stunning Vintage Ranch from Eldorado Stone for being selected as a finalist in the 2018 Innovation in Design Awards (IDAs)! Due to this honor, Vintage Ranch was also featured in a recent issue of Connecticut Cottages & Gardens.
Honorees were selected by the CTC&G editorial team, and this recognition reflects the importance of trade shows and custom pitching. Trade shows such as the International Builders Show are vital for familiarizing editors and other members of the media with products in a more intimate and tangible way than two-dimensional images sent in pitches. The in-booth Merlot representative made sure editors got a closer look at Vintage Ranch, the stone veneer interpretation of reclaimed barn wood. As stunning as Vintage Ranch is in photos, when you see it in person and run your hands over the expertly crafted “boards,” it’s nearly impossible to forget.
In an industry full of new and exciting products, custom pitching is also important to stay in front of editors, and it helps to keep those custom pitches as timely and relevant as possible by anticipating industry trends that will be the talk of the town within days. The timelessness of weather-worn barn wood, combined with the technology and artistry that enable stone veneer to take on the characteristics of this warm, rustic look with durability, lends itself beautifully to the charm of Connecticut Cottages & Gardens; in short, it’s a match made in home design heaven.
Earned media coverage is an important part of building brand awareness, and getting accolades from esteemed awards such as the IDAs lend third party legitimacy resulting in both awareness and consumer trust. This, in turn, adds to perceived value. That’s a win-win-win!
